Hotel Copenhagen city - when Copenhagen Island first opened its doors to guests in 2006, it created something of a sensation. The design and incredible architecture of the hotel is found nowhere else in Scandinavia – if anywhere at all. Even the location of Copenhagen Island is fantastic. The hotel is situated at an artificial island in Copenhagen Harbour, with only a few hundred meters to the centre of Copenhagen. This fantastic location gives you a sense of being isolated from the city like being on a cruise ship anchored at the harbour, even though you are only a few hundred meters from all the major sights.
Hotel Copenhagen city - the first thing you notice when you enter the Copenhagen Island is the beautiful lift, which dominate the lobby. It is the main thoroughfare in the hotel which takes you to the various floors. The next thing you will notice may be that the hotel has no stars - besides the celebrities who often choose Copenhagen Island as their place to stay when in Copenhagen. The reason for this is that we consider Copenhagen Island so special and different from other hotels that we do not wish it to be measured by the same scales as the other hotels in the city - we leave the hotel speak for itself.
