Parking

Finding a parking spot in Copenhagen can often feel challenging. That is why we have made it easy for you by gathering the best parking options for your stay, allowing you to easily find a spot close to the hotel.

Parking in front of the hotel

Copenhagen Island has 84 parking spaces available managed by APCOA. Upon arrival, we recommend that guests go to the reception to purchase a parking ticket. Vehicles without a valid ticket risk a control fee of   per day.

Please ensure to park in a spot marked "hotel parking." Parking in Nykredit's spaces is not allowed for hotel guests. The maximum height for street-level parking is 4.20 m, and in the basement, 1.90 m. It is not possible to charge your electric car in front of the hotel.

Parking under the hotel

If the parking lot in front of the hotel is full, you have the option to use our parking garage, where there are also additional spaces.

Access to the parking garage is simple:

  • Just after Kalvebod Brygge 47, turn left and drive over the small bridge
  • Immediately turn right after the bridge
  • Find the stand marked "Copenhagen Island" and press the button – we’ll open the gate for you

Please note that some spaces have time restrictions, so pay attention to the signage when parking. Remember to pick up a parking permit at the reception and display it visibly in your car's windshield for the duration of your stay.

For those arriving in an electric car

You’ll find several charging options in the area surrounding the hotel, including in the Fisketorvet car park and at IKEA near Fisketorvet.

Fisketorvet car park

Here, you’ll find 20 charging stations (11 kW, type 2), operated by Norlys. The price is #2.50# per kWh, and payment is made via the EasyPark app. This means you can pay for both parking and charging in one place.

IKEA near Fisketorvet

At IKEA, there are 12 charging stations (22 kW, type 2) and 4 charging stations (50 kW, type 2), operated by Recharge. The prices are #2.99# and #3.37# per kWh, respectively. Parking is free for 2 hours (4 hours for IKEA Family members). Please note that the parking time cannot be extended beyond this limit.

Disabled parking

We refer to parking under the hotel, from where there is an elevator to the lobby and reception.
